"Childhood belongs outside"

Our capstone course, Advertising Campaigns, for advertising students at the University of Oregon provides the opportunity for teams to create an ad campaign based on a real ask from a real client. Set up in the form of a competition, teams compete to create a campaign that satisfies the client’s need in a creative and unique way. At the end of the course, campaigns were pitched to members of their marketing team where they then chose a winner.

My team and I built this campaign over 8 weeks, aiming to promote a childhood outdoors in the age of inescapable screens and device while advertising the functionality, purpose, and importance of KEEN footwear.

Advertising to working parents, we wanted to promote the importance of getting their children off screens and into nature, in a world were an online addiction is almost inevitable.

This campaign is one that over time, can expand to all audiences with shoes fit for anyone of any age.

After a successful pitch, members of KEEN’s marketing team selected our campaign as the winner of our capstone course.
